Savannah Chrisley and Robert Shiver Break Up After Nearly Two Years Together

Savannah Chrisley and Robert Shiver have officially called it quits after nearly two years of dating, PEOPLE exclusively confirms.
The couple began dating on August 17, 2023, although their relationship wasn’t publicly revealed until the following month. Their split comes as a surprise, especially after Chrisley previously opened up to PEOPLE about the possibility of marriage, noting that the two had “definitely talked about it.” However, she acknowledged that Shiver had personal matters to address before any future steps could be taken.
Chrisley, 27, shares more details about the breakup on the April 14 episode of her Unlocked podcast. “There are clearly elephants in the room that need to be addressed,” she says. “It’s been about a month and a half since Robert and I broke up—March 6, to be exact. I’ve taken time to grieve and process the end of something I thought would last forever.”
Their relationship had developed amid difficult personal circumstances: Chrisley is raising her siblings Grayson, 18, and Chloe, 12, while her parents Todd and Julie are serving prison sentences. Meanwhile, Shiver has been navigating his own legal challenges, as his estranged wife awaits trial for allegedly plotting his murder.
Despite the challenges, Chrisley had previously praised Shiver, telling PEOPLE he brought “beauty from ashes” and was a strong, positive influence on her family. “I’m so grateful for someone who showed up, loved, and cared,” she said.
While the pair had discussed their shared goals and possible future together, Chrisley had stressed that they weren’t rushing things. “It’s easy to feel pressure from society to get married after a certain point, but we weren’t focused on that,” she explained.
Before dating Shiver, Chrisley was previously engaged to hockey player Nic Kerdiles, who tragically passed away in September 2023, shortly after her new relationship began. She also quietly dated country singer Nate Smith.
