There’s no other dog quite like Pig – she’s truly unique. Her story began when she was abandoned by her feral mother in the woods near Atlanta. Unfortunately, the vet who first examined her recommended putting her down due to her deformities. But when Kim Dillenbeck heard about Pig’s situation, she knew she had to meet her. Though Kim had rescued animals before, she’d never seen a pup quite like Pig. Luckily, with Kim as her adoptive mom, Pig has thrived despite her challenging start in life.
This particular pup was in dire need of help, as without any assistance, it would not have survived.
Pig is unlike any other creature you may have seen before.
Parts of the dog’s spine are absent, leaving it incomplete. There are some vertebrae that have fused and twisted.
At the neck region, her spinal cord branches into two independent cords.
Despite her serious physical abnormalities, there’s a chance that she will thrive in her recently acquired affectionate household.
It’s unlikely that she’ll be able to put on a significant amount of weight.
By providing ample care and affection, Pig will thrive without any issues.
She is fully aware of how fortunate she is!
It was truly amazing to see Kim’s kindness towards Pig. She managed to save this wonderful dog from being put down all by herself. This reminds us of the importance of not judging a book by its cover. Kim got to know Pig and saw how exceptional he was, which she would have missed out on if she had ignored him and walked away.
